Right, I’m not sharing this recipe because I’ve had some overnight epiphany and become a temple of health… I’m sharing it because they taste freakin’ delicious. I don’t bother activating nuts etc. like all the nutritious people do, I just love eating these morsals because they make me happy.
But, like all things that taste yum, nuts need to be consumed in moderation. Don’t be fooled, these things have as many calories as a pack of chips, however they are decidedly better for you and I know what I’d rather have my kids snacking on. Give them a go, you will NEVER eat normal almonds again!

3 cups Raw Almonds
2 tbs Tamari (Gluten Free Soy Sauce)

  1. Mix together the almonds and tamari in a medium bowl. Leave to marinate for half an hour.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper and then spread the marinated nuts in a single layer over it. Pre-heat your fan-forced oven to 160°c, and bake the nuts for 12 minutes - tossing half way through cooking. Try not to eat them all in one sitting!
