Mama’s got a brand new bag…

So you can probably guess by now… Mama’s got a brand new bag, or should I say, Blog.
These are exciting times, that’s for sure.
This is what I’ve dreamed about since my websites conception.
Yes, it looked OK before, and I suppose it was considering I designed it myself, because clearly I am no graphic design whiz or professional portrait photographer…

But now!
I feel this website is me.
It is me.
It’s about my life, it’s about my food, and I look at it now and it makes me feel all warm and tingly inside, because it’s finally also all about the people I love more than anything in this world.
My family.

Let me explain…
Yes, those 2 little turtle doves throwing flour around my kitchen (Uh huhhhh, this happened and it was a bitch to clean…And, yes this is a picture of my own kitchen) are my baby girls, Mrs.Moo and the Mogwai A.K.A. Eden and Winter.
The leather clad motorcyclist on a Honda SP1, is my super amazing husband Cory, doing what he loves best…Going for a ride on his beloved third child, with the added bonus of removing himself from a scene of chaos - Can you blame the poor man? Nope me neither.
And, yes, if you don’t know what I look like already, the lady in red is moi. Clearly very composed, considering my kitchen is taking a flogging of epic floury proportions…

Note to everyone: This composure is not standard practice, and in any other flour throwing situation I’d be a psychotic screaming banshee.

In actual fact, I believe my exact words to Moo and Mog went something like this…

Have fun and go your hardest my little bambi’s, because these flour throwing escapades will NEVER happen again on my watch…EVER. Love you, sincerely Mum X

Please also understand, although food throwing isn’t common practice in our household, the kids helping me in the kitchen is common practice.
And, sweet Jesus, it always ends in a freakin’ mess.
Yes, when we make flat breads, pasta and pizza together, there is always flour to be cleaned… And water… And eggs… And whatever else they’ve got their cute little rascal mitts onto.
Mrs.Moo has begun rising super early, to make pancakes for breakfast by herself while Cory and I are still sleeping… Lord, give me, and my dustbuster strength.

As you take a browse around the new and improved me, you’ll notice some fundamental differences.
Nope, my blog ain’t changing, I’ll NEVER stop writing it and posting regular recipes, it’s become a much loved and important part of my life. A part I could never leave behind…
But, I also Cater too.
And, I conduct Cooking Classes.
And, I wanted my recipes to be easily accessible for all to see, and hopefully to cook… Because, that’s why I’m here, I love to share.

Anyhoo, as previously stated, I’m no graphic design whiz or professional portrait photographer, but I know people who are…

Enter, my friend Troy O’Brien from Welbourn O’Brien.
Troy is one of the most creatively talented people I know. He’s won a slew of awards, and he knows who I am.
It was a no-brainer.
He took my life and put it on a plate, a digital WWW. plate. He knew my vision and he knows my family, he brought it, and us to life.
He took my old logo and made it sparkly and new, he’s such a golden egg.
He gave me something I feel truly proud of.

This woman has the goods. She’s got talent by the bucket load, and her photographic style was exactly what we needed.
Like an angel, sent from a dark-room heaven, she came into my life when I needed her most.
Her sense of fun and colour spoke to me, and it still does.
