Collaborate with Bree

Bree May was first known and recognised for being crowned champion of Channel Seven’s reality cooking competition My Kitchen Rules in 2014.

Before entering the My Kitchen Rules arena, Bree had a successful and almost decade long career in the travel industry as a highly skilled and accredited travel agent.
A steadfast traveller since her late teens, she has wandered extensively throughout Australia, U.K and Europe, Asia, Central America and the U.S as well as spending several months working abroad and adventuring in Scotland, London and Greece.
Her unyielding passion for travel and immersing herself in different food cultures has left an indelible mark on her cooking style today.

Since winning the title of MKR champion, Bree continues to express her love and passion for food and cooking through her bespoke catering business - Food According to Bree Catering, freelance writing, styling and recipe development, cooking classes, guest appearances, live cooking demonstrations and event hosting.

She founded her own food blog, professional catering and food services business Food According to Bree and her artisan ketchup line Ketchup According to Bree which she entirely hand-crafts from her own secret recipes.
She also loves sharing her recipes, as she believes food is meant for sharing, and has developed a reputation for preparing delicious food using simple and real ingredients.

Bree has extensive experience in the kitchen having professionally catered for intimate groups to large scale events.
Her catering clients range from award winning wineries and breweries, national retailers, government, television and festival promoters, to private client dining and events.

Bree values giving back to the community and helping others by keenly supporting charitable organizations that are close to her heart.

She is an official ambassador for Bone Health Foundation as well as The Hospital Research Foundation and their annual ‘The Longest Table’ cancer awareness and research fundraising initiative.
She also works closely with OzHarvest and The Big Issue Australia among others.

In addition to having her MKR journey and victory chronicled worldwide following its broadcast in over 100 countries, Bree has been interviewed and featured in many high profile local and national publications and websites; Who, NW, New idea, TV week, Woman’s Day, SA Life, Fleurieu Living magazine, SA weekend, Adelady and Body Image Movement.

As well as the ongoing local and national media and television coverage she receives for her regular food and charity engagements, Bree’s recipes, food styling + photography and written work have been published and featured in several national online and print publications; NineMSM Food, Fleurieu Living Magazine, InDaily, The Advertiser, The New Daily, Inside South Australia, South Australian Style magazine and Unfold magazine.

She’s collaborated with many well-known brands, businesses and publications for recipe development, styling and food photography for their products.

She regularly engages with and entertains the public both locally and interstate through her live cooking demonstrations, workshops and masterclasses, and directly works with trusted brands as a spokesperson for their products and events.

A respected food lover and cook, she’s been invited to join judging panels for several food competitions and awards, most notably as a juror for the 2014 Gelato World Tour Grand Finale, held in Rimini IT, and the 2017 South Australian Dairy Awards.

Bree is a fun-loving and energetic mother of two young girls. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, writing, photography and travelling, volunteering, recipe creating and doing what she loves best of course; cooking!
